Little Man's Big Weekend

Uncle Keith and Aunt Julie were visiting from SoCal. And Tony and Calvin were in town from Phoenix. We all had dinner Friday night.

Eating Out

Believe it or not, we actually do eat at home more often than not. But we've had lots of good excuses to eat out this week. Tonight Alesha was in town from Baltimore, missing her kids Holden and Hunter and in need of a baby fix. Lonan and I drove across the bridge to Emeryville and had a nice dinner with her. Lonan slept through most of it.

Last night Daddy was in Half Moon Bay for work so we met Chad and Ron around the corner at Lupa. I think this was Lonan's third time there and our favorite waiter Fabio remembered him.

Burgers & Feet

Two milestones within one hour last night. It was one of our rare, warm evenings so we decided to walk to Barney's for dinner since they have a nice patio. While we were getting ready to go, Lonan was in his crib and apparently discovered his feet. When we went to get him he was holding his right foot with his right hand.. first time we've ever seen him do that. And in the stroller on the way down he kept kicking his foot and staring at it, amazed.

Then at dinner he was in his stroller next to me and watching me eat... when he started smacking his lips and making chewing motions.. baby wants a burger!

He's also very vocal now... lots of happy noise coming out that little mouth.

Been getting lots of questions about the nanny.. I've been remiss in writing about her. She's working out wonderfully.. aiming for details and pics tomorrow.

Baby's First Sitter

Our old friend Jim was in town this weekend from Charlotte - interviewing! With any luck he and Jeff will be moving here soon.

We went out with him Sunday night and left Lonan with a babysitter for the first time. But not just any old sitter...

Lonan's Weekend So Far

Besides sitting around and looking cute.. not much going on.

Surprise visit from Jim.. in town from Boston on biz.. unfortunately no Amy & kids on this trip.

Chad did bottle duty... and was over tonight for dinner.. even changed a diaper.. what a trooper!

After a visit to daddy's office for some shameless baby showing off, we walked to Union Sq. to do a little shopping. Halloween is coming up and we have start thinking about a costume.

What's New in Our Zoo

Let's see.. Lonan is growing.. Larrabee is shedding.. actually not that much new really. Friday night we picked up Daddy from the airport, marking the official end of his job in LA. Wednesday he returns to Blue Shield here in SF.. much easier commute and more time with baby.

Saturday night we went to a small party at Brad & Michael's. Lonan is a great socializer.

Sunday night we had a few people over for dinner but Poppa forgot to take pictures. Lonan's nanny officially started today. Her name is Lucy and she is very sweet and Lonan is already falling for her. She'll be hanging out with us a bit this week and start full-time next week when I go back to work. Hard to believe my 2 month leave is almost over. It has been the most amazing time of my life with the most amazing little person.

Not doing much this Labor Day Weekend... hanging around SF with a jaunt to the Sausalito Art Fair Saturday.. visiting with friends Sunday and laying low on Monday.
