Babies Everywhere

We had a daddies playdate Saturday with some other local families. It was supposed to be at a playground nearby but it was pouring rain so at the last minute we moved it to our house instead. 6 kids age 6 months to 22 months. It was barely controlled chaos but fun.

In other news.. we were invited to dinner both Saturday and Sunday night so Poppa didn't have to cook at all the entire weekend - woot!

Todo en la Boca

Lonan is just like Larrabee.. he puts everything in his mouth (or tries to).. todo en la boca, as Lucy says. Two big choppers are in on top - I can't get a good look at them though, let alone a pic, because you have to pull his upper lip back to see them and he does not care for that at all. Oh, and he' s offically crawling now too.

Company

Bob and Dennis came over for dinner, but first Lonan had his. A chilly night so we built a fire and had comfort food.. pork chops.. mashed potatoes, gravy and broccoli. Young Master Anderson enjoyed squash and corn, with banana & granola for dessert.. yum.

Ugh

Stomach viruses all around, compliments of baby boy. He had it Thursday & Friday, Doug got it Saturday and I had it Sunday. Blech. And Lucy told me this morning she was sick over the weekend too. He's a regular Typhoid Mary! The good news is it passed pretty quickly and we are all back to normal today.

Doug took Lonan to the doctor Friday and she told us we would just have to work through it. Surprisingly, other than the puking (which wasn't very bad) he didn't have any other symptoms... he ate well and slept well and he was as spazzy as ever. But I was suprised to hear that he was only 18 pounds ( and change) and now in the 30th percentile, down from the 50th percentile in December. He's the incredibale shrinking baby! Dr. Anne was pleased with his health overall, but I will start looking into Human Growth Hormone, just in case.

Happy Friday

Actually this was Thursday night as we were leaving to take Larrabee for a walk, but whatever.
So the big news in our house is that Lonan is sleeping completely through the night now.. no longer waking up for that 5-6a bottle. He always fell back to sleep after that, but Daddy and Poppa weren't necessarily so lucky. The last couple of weeks we've fallen into a routine in which he wolfs (and I mean WOLFS) down a couple of jars of baby food with some rice cereal around 730pm and passes out not long after. We put him in his crib at 830pm and he's sleeps all the way through -- the earliest he been awake is 630 -- and one morning he slept almost until 8!
And in other news - Lonan has a new bud! His godmother Saffa and her husband Tim had a baby boy, Hank, born in Seattle Feb. 6. We're looking forward to our first playdate.

Almost Crawling

I know, I know.. we need to get a camcorder and ditch these lame cell phone vids.

Lonan wants to crawl so badly and gets very frustrated because he doesn't quite have the moves down yet. But he's almost there.. the end is near for Daddy and Poppa.

Breakfast with Lucy

Lonan is on to 2nd foods now.. mixes of all the things he tolerated well alone.. which was everything. So now he eats things like mixed veggies, corn & squah, pineapple & mango etc... and he loves avocado which we just mash up raw. 3 solid meals a day plus 4-5 bottles and he chows it all down with gusto. I told Lucy he's vacacito.. a little cow.

Baby's 2nd Ski Trip

Ruth and Gordon hosted us for the weekend.. and babysat while we skied - sweet!

We had 2 feet (!) of new snow while we were there. Some of those icicles are bigger than Lonan.
