Daddy was out of town so we teamed up for a slumber party with Sofia and her Papi, who were also flying solo this weekend.

We hit the playground..

had dinner..

enjoyed a movie..

and then Sunday morning we hit the rec center. Lonan insisted on the barrette and Sofia was kind enough to share.

Lonan's First Movie

Daddy was out of town until late, Lucy left early and Lonan and I had no plans for the evening so I decided to try taking him to see a movie. It was either "Alvin and the Chipmunks 2" or "The Princess and the Frog." When in doubt go with Disney, so "Princess" it was. My expectations were low for both Lonan and the movie but he really enjoyed it. I wish I had a pic of him staring wide-eyed at the screen and shoveling popcorn in mouth. I didn't expect him to be able to sit still for 90 minutes, but he did (with one brief lap around the theater). The movie was pretty good too - classic Disney, complete with villains, singing animals, etc. A nice change from the bane of my life, Caillou.

Random Picture Dump Holiday Edition

Not many pics due to much illness.. colds, stomach bugs, flu.. in various combinations between the three of us.

Luckily Mammaw was here over Christmas to help nurse us through. We made it out one day to the Conservatory with Sofia.

Lunch afterward got a bit out of control.

Between all the holidays and illness we didn't see much of Leo. He and Lonan shared a bug or two, along with poor Lucy.

But we survived and made it out New Year's weekend to a raucous playdate with Christopher, baby Matteo, Sophie, Evan and baby Max.
