Good Thursday Morning

Had his 6 month checkup with Dr. Anne last week and he's doing great.

24 inches long

2 bottom teeth coming in!

He was supposed to get another round of vaccines but had a little cold so Dr. postponed til tomorrow. Then we learn about this vaccine recall! I called the pediatrician and it turns out he's already had one round of this at 6 weeks. Yoiks! But if there had been a problem it would have happened then so we're clear. But still...

He sits up on his own now (for about 10 seconds before capsizing, but it's a start). He screeches squeals loud enough to shatter my glasses when he's happy. Eating 2 solid meals a day (likes everything but peas) and still chugging 5-6 bottles.

Sorry the posts have become so sporadic. I used to send pics directly from my phone to the blog but then someone (Daddy) put my phone through the washing machine and I'm having a hard time getting the new phone set up to photoblog. So for now I have to use the digicam.. upload to the PC then upload to the blog.

Lonan's First Thanksgiving

It was quite a week -- fun and bittersweet.

Doug's father died the Saturday before Thanksgiving after many years of poor health. Doug flew to Pittsburgh Sunday and came home Thanksgiving day. It was doubly nice to have Tim & Saffa here while he was gone for company and help with the baby!

Wednesday night Other Dennis had us over for dinner and we got the meet his family, in town for the holiday from Chicago. They made a delish Greek meal and gave Lonan beautiful jacket.


Daddy arrived home Thanksgiving around noon and we went to Michael and Brad's house for dinner.


Michael's mother Sandy was quit smitten with Lonan, who enjoyed a nice box of foil.

Kristen and Morton and their family were there. Lonan and Axel are already buds.


Friday night the Saffa's parents hosted a dinner in honor of her 40th birthday and her sister Lisa's 50th birthday. Chad came over to watch Lonan - only the second time we've ever left him with a sitter. Needless to say everyone survived.

We met up with Chad and Brad.

Saturday night our friend David got to met Lonan for the first time.

Sunday was Tim & Saffa's baby shower at her cousin's house in Petaluma. Poppa failed to get a decent picture, but here are Tim, Daddy and Lonan enjoying a nice fall day in the backyard.

Sunday night we were up to our ears in laundry.
