A Few More LA Pics

I love this shot of my niece Chelsea and Lonan. We're having a heatwave here in SF - 97 yesterday - so he's running around near nekkid, which always looks strange as we're used to seeing him bundled up. Those little legs rarely see the the light of day.

With Grandpa Tom. He kept giving Lonan sips from his straw. I thought it was Sprite and accused him of trying to get the baby all jacked up on sugar before we got on our flight. But turns out it was just water.

With Emily, Jennifer and Mark. They came over for brunch on Mother's Day. Their littlest ones, Stella and Bryce, were too busy to sit for a pic.

LA Baby

So we flew down Saturday around noon with Lonan sitting on my lap and throwing toys and pacifiers at everyone within a 10 seat radius. But at least he didn't cry! And he slept for the last half the flight - which is only an hour long.

My brother and his family came over for a bbq. Here's Lonan with his cousins Chelsea, Megan and Ryan.

Chelsea is quite the little mother with her Lonan. She scoops him up and takes him everywhere.

Quick trip - we flew home Sunday night and he slept the entire way.

36 Hours in LA

Lonan and I made a quick trip to SoCal to spend Mother's Day with my mom. Managed to pack in a lot of quality time with family and friends. More pics to come.

The Boys in the Nursery

I came home from work last night and Lonan greeted me with a hearty "dyua bwah nyaaaaaaahhha duyaua." Until yesterday his vocalizations had been limited pretty much to squeals and squeeks and shrieks. Even Leo was babbling at 6 months so we asked Dr. Anne about it at our 9 month checkup. She said that if he wasn't babbling by his 1st birthday we should have his hearing checked (he hears fine, trust me) and that with some babies the babbling just switches on overnight. That, apparently, is our baby. He hasn't stopped talking since.

What on earth is he saying?
