Mamaw got in around 6 Saturday evening and we whisked her off to movies in the park. Freezing again but a great time nonetheless.
Brad falls on hard times
Sunday Bob organized a block party fundraiser for Upper Noe Rec Center, which is across the street from his house. We had our first truly sunny day in almost a week although it was only about 65 degrees. Still, we take what we can get. Good food, good music, good times. Kristen and Morton were there with their little girl Annika and their new baby boy Axel. They were then tenants that replaced us at 30 Chenery, one of Brad and Michael's apartments and the first place we lived in the city. And the current residents, Chris and Donna, were also there so we had an impromptu 30 Chenery gathering.
3 Generations of Apartment People
We left around 3 -- headed across the bridge to Ikea for a file cabinet and some of those little Scandinavian odds and ends it's so hard to resist. Dinner at Pasta Pomodoro, gelato on 24th St. and a stealth late night dumpster dump to get rid of the mountain of boxes that had accumulated in the garage from the all crap we've been buying. Doug left for L.A. this morning, and ordered Ash on bed rest so she doesn't go into labor before he gets back. I think she and Mamaw are walking around Fisherman's Wharf right now.
